Ruckersville Animal Hospital has participated in clinical trials combining laser and immunotherapy technology in the fight against cancer! This treatment modality has shown very promising results in laboratory animals with primary tumors and metastatic disease, as well as in human clinical trials in Sweden. The combined use of laser and immunotherapy is capable of unmasking tumor antigens (markers) and developing a hyper-robust immune response specifically against the tumor. The treatment requires mild sedation, clipping of hair, and a second treatment in 3 weeks. With some tumors, a third treatment may be necessary. ![]() ![]() Check out the following articles: -Laser Immunotherapy in treatment of Metastatic Tumors -Antitumor Immunotherapy induced by Laser Immunotherapy |
